ya sorry its a 98 3.4 v6 limited 4runner all stock and call it the truck because it was the biggest in the family and was used like a truck i guess is it wrong to call it that? ive always wondered if truck just meant pickup

timing belt water pump and belts ? plugs and wires ? maybe change the front and rear diff fluid tranny and x fer case.... as for mods you can go with the deckplate mod and isr mod a 18'' magnaflow muffler in place of the stock one sounds good

Yup, most call it a truck with the rationale that it is on a truck frame. And well calling it an SUV is kind of derogatory to the 4Runner as it makes it sound like the other 4 x faux's.
As for perfomance/maintenace. Just do a tune up to begin, then go from there. (plugs/wires/fuel filter/clean your MAF/throttle body)
When that is done, honestly, dont piss your money or time on the small things like ISR(intake silencer removal), and the deckplate mod an such. Most keep the deckplate closed after awhile and reverse the ISR since all you get is noise and no real benefit.
If I was to do it all again from the start, for performance, I would start saving cash for a supercharger and fuel mods.
