basic help

I have an 87 4runner tht is stock except for the 31s. and i have some Qs.

ive heard of people putting 20r heads on their 22re to raise compression, now does tht work? by how much? and will it effect my smog?

ive also heard of putting in a 268 stick i think it was to help with performance and stiffer valve springs, but how would tht effect my smog?

and last of all my rear springs are straight/flat they have no arc at all makinng my bacxk end sag, ive heard of 63" chevy spring, how do those work? wut r the effects, height stiffness ect.?

and i was curious of prices to do these things.

20r head will raise compression but if your EFI alot of work and skill go into doing it to run with the efi. But what an engine it would make.

268 is a cam liked by many here, I've run 261 and am running the 260 now. I like the power in the lower rpm range its great for my style of wheeling.

63" will work, my buddy runs them. Loves them. He mounted them to push the axle 1" further back than stock to better center his 37" in wheel well. They sit even with his 5 inch front springs on an SAS'd '89 so an extra 1.5" lift from hanger and shackles.

do u know wut the price range for the cam is?

how about other ideas for lifts like bj spacers?

check out engnbldr.com or call Delta cam.

bj lifts aren't my thing, but SDORI makes/sells them. 4crawler.com sells them too.
