Any idea why my yota died breifly?
So I went offroading at azusa canyon, and on my way home I stopped to get something to eat. In the parking lot my 92 toyota died, at first I thought I stalled it trying to reverse it into the parking lot. I mean it was dead dead, couldn't crank it, no lights guages or power steering. I had my multimeter so I popped the hood and the battery was good so I got back in the truck and it started right away and I was able to drive home without any issues.
I did a search and read the same scenario happened to guys who had bad grounds but I checked everything when I got home (not througly) and everything looks good. My truck sat for the last few days and the battery reads 12.7 before I crank it and none of the fuses are blown or anything.
I did cross a few water crossings at azusa canyon nothing too deep just the ones to get you to the area where everyone hangs out and I did give a jump to a guy before I left (made sure my cables were hooked up right but didn't check his)
Any theories? Gonna triple check the grounds later but like i said everything looks good. Just paranoid this might happen again.

How did you test the battery that told you it is good? Exactly where did you probe? What did you do to text if battery voltage holds up under load?

(Cut to the chase)
Have a look at the fusible link threads, generally speaking if the dash ect goes out you've lost power to the whole system which is supplied by the primary link wire to the distribution box. This will shut down the starter relay so no crank. The typical "wiggle the battery cables" check for a loose connection is sometimes enough to fix a fault here, the fault is still there but it got a good enough connection to start and run.

We don`t know the year or mileage
Drive train
Corroded ,Loose or broke battery terminals
Unless you have a electric power steering pump it most times needs the engine running to work
You had no lights while trying to crank ??
I have had flexing of the vehicle cause it to stall from a poor ground
If it stalled I would look at the wire from Positive battery terminal to fuse block
Something loose some place
Pictures of the battery terminals
