Howdy all from Nevada. I have come to own an 87 4x4 pickup single cab, 22r motor with what I am beginning to think is a home made dash/ engine/ interior/ wire harness swap. Runs good. I have a strange noise from the transmission. Anyone know any good but reasonably prices transmission mechs in Northern Nevada?

85 4runner no run condition electrical problem

Hello all,
This is a summary of my other thread trying to track down why my truck isn't running. It will start, run a for a few moments (5 seconds or so) then die. Many suspects have been eliminated so we're focusing on only a few now.
Here's what I (with help from forums, thanks RAD) found and looking for advice on how to fix it.
1. After key returns to ON/RUN position AFTER starting up; truck dies. Getting no spark at this point. Tested plugs and visually confirmed all four are firing on start and if I continuously hold key in start position, even if engine starts... it will continue to run. When key returns to ON/RUN position, test lights go off.
2. Fuel pump AND C.O.R. turn on (COR clicks) when key is turned to the ON/RUN position with engine not running/pre start. I was told that neither of these components should be running, that they only should come on in the START position and/or AFTER
truck has started running (the AFM takes over after start to keep fuel pump and COR powered on and working). If this is incorrect, please explain correct timing and function. i.e. when should pump and COR be powered on by key position.
3. What causes/controls spark to quit after engine starts? What conditions need to be met in order to continue to fire?

More information and tests; All four injectors are working (cleaned, balanced, tested by a professional). Power to injectors during START was confirmed by noid testers on all four. Fuel pressure is measured at 40psi in the ON/RUN key position and drops to 30psi when cranking/starting. Starter, coil, igniter test at 12V with key in ON/RUN position pre start.
