I have a 89' toyota pickup with 22RE 5sp. with 190,000 miles.I have replaced plugs,wires,fuel filter,dist.cap&rotor button,o2 sensor,thermostat,air filter.cleaned throttle body and checked valve lash.It just misses at idle NOT threw out driving has a rattle noise at front of valve cover pulled it off and guides are still there also smells like bad gas while running.Previous owner had new head gasket and timing chain put on it and a exhaust but has no cat now.Gas mileage is horrible to.Any info would be helpfull thanks.

i have a rough idle on my 22re as welll replaced cap, plugs, wire, rotor....thinking about the o2 but im also afraid of the timing chain going bad...last week it was bogging out really bad unless the gas was all the way to the floor then it takes off...idk what is wrong. then when cruising i herd a buckle kinda sound twice....(it was very muggy and rainy that day) havent herd the buckle sound since just really bad idle and missing at idle as well.
