22re Exhaust systems
Hey y'all!
Just wondering if anyone has some options/opinions on exhaust systems for the 22re. My truck is a 92 pickup, currently with rusty 1.75" pipe. I just picked up some used doug thorley headers, and want to rig up a 2.25" exhaust. Pacesetter seems to be the cheapest ($340 Canadian), but I already have a muffler, and I'm wondering if there are any other alternatives. I've checked out magnaflow, dynomax, etc., and can't seem to find much. Any hacks/tips/tricks you guys have done to save some money and still have half decent results? Otherwise it's a length of pipe, some elbows, and a bunch of welding. Thanks in advance! |
Have a local shop build you one, if they're a good shop they'll stand by there work, and you'll come out ahead in the end.

My go to has usually been the Thrush Turbo mufflers. They flow well and aren't too loud.

Sounds good! Yeah I was definately thinking of that. I do like doing things myself, but there is always the balance of spending money vs spending time on something. Haha. Thanks for the input. |
