2012 tacoma supercharger

finally retired the 1994 yota pickup dlx, 4in lift, 35 by 12.5's, shortpiped. 5 speed, =[, but on the plus side im starting a new rig... 2012 tacoma standard texas edition v6, 4.0L (the old one was a 3.0 slow.) getting it supercharged this saturday, and i wanna know what kind of backpressure i need on it? i wanna just leave the cat's and pipe it out in 4-5in after the y pipe where it connects mid crew cab, to in front of the right rear tire.. just wanted to see how much that would hurt my gas mileage, and what kind of stuff id have to do to maintain proper backpressure if any... just because i keep reading that it doesnt technically need backpressure if its supercharged, which would be awesome, and opens up alot of ioptions for my first mod on this truck, i like ˟˟˟˟ loud lol

all im really asking is, does a supercharged 4.0L need backpressure or not? and what do you all recommend performance / offroading wise for these trucks?

You will need some back pressure from the exhaust. Having minimal back pressure causes burnt exhaust valves.

i only as because i keep hearing rumors that its pretty much a wife's tale with these new trucks, and as long as you have a supercharger, turbo, turbocharger, what have you, you dont need backpressure because the engine is no long a self aspiration motor, doesnt pull its own air in being its now a forced induction motor.
