1989 p.i.t.a yota Bad wobble and vibration
I am about this far ( ) from losing my sanity....
89 Toyota pickup.... 22re ... 4x4 ... 31x10.5x15 Cooper A/T tires less than 5,000 miles on them...
She has 290k ish miles...
At 280k new clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing
at 282k complete engine rebuild when timing tensioner broke....
at 285k idler arm broke...replaced both front axles, idler arm, new wheel bearings and got new shocks
at 286k rear end went out.... rebuilt it and New wheel bearings on the rear
About 289k it started making a weird on and off noise... couldn't for the life of me figure out what it was because it wouldn't do it all the time.... hit a bump it would do it, hit a bump and it would stop...
finally figured out it was the forks in transfer case...
I actually put that on the back burner, as long as I left it in 2 wheel it would come and go but mostly it didn't make a sound...
I drove it today. . 5 miles to store and it was fine... on the way back when I crossed a bridge it started making a really bad roaring noise... hit a bump in the road and it stopped
then it got really bad again... it was vibrating so hard the dash was shaking... and then it started road walking... literally felt like a tire was fixing to fall off... I was scared to get it over 30mph... ... ...
tomorrow I am going to pull her in the shop and get it on the lift....
any suggestions on where to start?
would the transfer case cause this kind of behavior?

shake it down first and let us know if you find anything loose. there are too many possibilities, check your wheels, bearings, drivelines, steering and suspension joints.
