1988 toyota 3.0 V6 help please
 
getting a 1988 toyota pickup had fuel pump problem the guy said that the fuel pump went out. I fixed that and the truck still would not start so figured it was the battery so I replaced that and it still does not run when the egnition is turned it clicks but motor does not turn over Please help any input is much aprisheated.

check the starter connections. Do you get one click and nothing or is it a series of clicks? Sounds like it the starter is not engaging. The motor does not crank correct?

Also make sure you have a good connection at the battery.

yes it clicks once and stops and no it does not turn over so starter problem

did you check all the fuses inside and under hood?

yes all the fuses are good in cab and under hood

Starter. Replace the contacts or replace the starter.

that all taken care of there was a short but new problem it starts and idols and but it will not drive in 2wd it will only in 4-low not enough power did the trouble engine light code and it is

MANIFOLD AND/OR AIRFLOW METER SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT --AIRFLOW METER/CIRCUIT
--MANIFOLD PRESSURE SENSOR/CIRCUIT
--ECU

what would likly cause this. I think it is a compression issue went to check for spark but the spark plugs were only finger tight tightend him down and it started running better but it is a mistery to me
