Just got a 2003 SR5 4Runner 4.0 V6 ,Wooooooohooooooooo,i also have 1995 4runner with that damn 3.slow that suks ,i love the second gen body and my95 sits a lil higher and has air airbags in the coils in the rear,it also is a generally reliable vehicle till recently i had a bearing slip on #2cyl,took 4months and three engines later till i found one that was good and had great compression,now i have #14,#25,#26codes and my valves on #3 are leaking definitely a valve/head issue,i have to find a mechanic/shop that will do a head job and check the valve clearances {damn toyota engineers used shims}i will get that fixed other than that my 95 gets 20 on the average ost of my driving is highway very lil is street,and when i go flyfishing or hunting i seldom have to use 4wd to negotiate rough conditions,but i do use it from time to time all maintence has been done on it regularly since i bought it at 120,000 it now has 194,000 i want to run it to a million if i can do that.i also have a 98 tacoma extended cab 4x4 its also awesome too,I use to love american cars,still fiercely love my country,but im a Toyota fan for life as long as they keep putting such an excellent vehicle.
Ok ,enuff ...... i have several questions what makes a sport a sport and SR5 A SR5 i have some options that are on the sport and the dealership listed it as a sport but it has neither the sport on the side doors.Help? Is there a chance i can put air bags in the coils ? maybe get a lil more clearance between the ground and underbody , by means of as small suspension lift that wouldn't hurt the handling or warranty?
I have several other things i want to get such as stone/wind deflector,sunroof deflector,husky liners .inchannel window vents
