NHTSA investigating Tacoma throttle issue

This was on my local news tonight and the local news went to the NHTSA. There's now an investigation being launched on this issue. Apparently there are 20+ reports of newer Tacomas accelerating on their own, several of which have caused accidents. They had a local guy showing his truck and it was demolished after this event.

I believe it may be related to this thread: http://www.customtacos.com/forum/sho...cking+throttle

Just an FYI for you guys out there.

I haven't looked yet, but I think mine has a drive by wire throttle. I guess there's advantages to this, but I would still rather have a traditional throttle cable. I can see where drive by wire can can cause problems. Thanks for the link.
