Battery Light ??
 
I have looked and have not seen any post for the 4th gen 4Runner Battery Warning light , My light came on, but I have no problems, everything works
fine, any ideas ???:bump: :rockin:

It could be your alternator starting to go out. At least that's what it usually is on the 2nd gen pickups when the battery light stays on :)

For most cars, the battery light is a voltage indicator. Get a multi meter (or volt meter) and test the voltage on both alternator poles while the engine is warmed up and idling. It should register at least 12 volts. If less than 12, your alternator isn't working right or you have a bad connection at the poles.
If you register a healthy voltage, your light may be screwed up or something else is wrong.

There is a battery warning light? My battery took a dump last month, not light ever showed up.

Yeah...sounds like the alternator could be toast or toasting as we speak.
