Just got done installing my URD Short Shifter kit in my 06 Tacoma. That thing is straight up awesome. I was never real happy with how the 6speed shifted. The short shifter reduces the throw by 44%. The gears are so much more solid and close together now. 1st and 2nd are only about 3 inches apart now. Before if I got on it really hard in 1st I could never get a clean shift to 2nd. Last night on my test run I broke loose sideways on the pavement grabbing 2nd it was awesome. If you have the 6speed goto URDUSA.com and order one now! so how exactly does that short throw work? is the height of the shifter above the vehicle floor still the same or is it way down there? i always just thought a short throw shifter shortened the shifter, which would inherently have a shorter path to take to get to the gear, but i wouldnt want to be reaching down to t he floor to shift! please enlighten me
