255/75/17 on stock 04 4runner
i thought i had read some threads a while back about people putting 255/75/17's on stock 4runners with minnimal rubbing but now that i bought some tires i cant find them and found a thread where a guy couldnt even mount them on the front without spacers because of the backspaceing of the rim. so my question is what is the least i need to do to get them to fit. can i put a spacer? or do i need a lift? or will they fit with alittle rubbiing

You may have to trim a small amount. Are you mounting them on stock wheels? You shouldn't have a problem on a stock wheel. It's less wide than the stock tire if you had the, almost equivalent to a 31x10.50 stock, and it's only a half inch taller. I say go for it but in a situation like this always think the worst going into it. You MAY need spacers and have to do some trimming and it still may rub on full stuff.

i went ahead and put them on there and they dont seem to rub but i havent tried to flex it yet.

I figured it's possible, I mean they put 265/75/16's on stock tacomas from the factory. And that's about the same size as your 255/75..
