2009 taco 5th gear prob?
my 2009 taco ( 4 cyl) my be developing tranny trouble. when entering 5th gear, shifter feels tight and does not move as far as it used to. the shifter feels like it is 'trapped'... no noises from the trans, but it feels like the linkage may be binding and restricting the position of the shift forks in the trans. Anyone ever heard of this happening? 220k miles, otherwise totally reliable...

Follow-up news
Turns out I'd managed to lose an LED headlamp in the shifter boot, it had fallen down in the folds, and was barely visible ...
It was interfering with the shifter movement, but only in 5th gear!
I wish all transmission problems were this easy to fix!!
