Is there a 4x4 lift shop near you? They might have some stock front TJ coils that they will give you free or a small charge. They always end up in the dumpster behind the shops

no....but as long as I know what years I'm looking for.....and yes, I want to see how dlucky makes out.

Jerry TJ's were made from 1997–2006. Pretty sure the coils are the same, whAT I am not sure is if there is a difference between the rubicons and unlimiteds. I wanna say the rubi's sat higher, but not sure and also not sure if it was suspension or body lift if that's the case.

this might help: I think it confirms they are all the same: http://www.quadratec.com/products/16190_006_07.htm

thanks Brandon......for new ones almost the same as used ones, and if these are the right size.....no cutting of either the spring, or the vehicle

if you can confirm the TJ coils work check on the rausch creek forum and put up a wanted ad, I am sure someone would be willing to give/sell you a set. Not sure if they would be any cheaper the those BM springs. I have been following that other thread as well.

I'm using front TJ springs from a 97-06 TJ, cut down to 12" from 14". No complaints whatsoever. I got a pair off ebay for around $40, but you can probably find them cheaper locally.

I like simple I've had to do "simple" before on the rear brake line. Look at the rubber line. It's secured at each end....the ends can be freed up or extended up or downwards. Free and super cheap

honestly, with my truck on the lift at work fully extended. my rear line had no problems. seeing as the trails i go on so far are pretty bumpy, im sure its possible for the rear end to be forced to be extended past where it was when it was just on the lift.
thanks for the info, good to know for other members doing similar set up
a member on here hooked me up with a 22inch brake line for free

my setup: ~2inch lift from stock high (~3 if measuring from sag)
96-98 rear 4runner coil springs
OME N94 Shocks
DIY Bracket for LPSV
22inch rear brake line
32x11.5x15

will be adding 1.25 inch wheel spacers. when i was all twisted up this weekend, i can hear the springs slightly rubbing but under normal driving there is no rubbing.

so the jumping i get when taking off (just letting of the brakes) feels like what some guys call axle wrap. not sure if thats what im getting. its odd. it only happens if i come to a stop kinda hard. usually im light on my brakes to a stop. if i stop hard and bout to take off. i let of the brakes and the truck kinda jumps. like the drive train is loaded. i was driving around is circles with my head out looking at the rear axle, i can see when i brake. the axle front drips down and back up lol

Well, They worked. I love the ride and the easiness of installation.

I like what you did, dlucky....don't mind if I snatch those excellent pics of yours and make a link? I think you're the 1st to use this particular coil?

So, it looks like the 13" coil will give 2 15/16" (3").....Looking forward to future updates and if the sag of the coils will even be measurable. You certainly took some clear close-ups.

The 16" coil is 3" longer but will likely give about 2/3's of that so probably 4.5" to 5" lift......hmmm. That 16 incher sounds like a great option for those that have a 4" block and want to ditch them with some lift. At about 5" of lift the coils are supporting ALL of the weight I estimate. That means the leafpacks are getting easy duty and simply locating the axle left/right/forward/backward....the leafpack also prevents the axle wrapping.

I'm home sick as a dog today so I have time to make some links

Now it's 92TOY's turn to do it.....

ZUK

ps---I'm thinking that those concerned about the lower coil fit around the rubber snubber...and the way the coil is strongly contacting the u-bolts, can force 1 or 2 pieces of 8" long heater hose on the coil lower end. Also, maybe some cheap hardware store steel brackets under the u-bolts and positioned just right could help locate/limit the coil moving around. Just some ideas.

Alright, so... I've read through probably 5-6 ZUK mod threads, and I still have the same question... Maybe I'm just slow, but here it is:
What Make/ Year/ Size of springs would be completely cutless and weldless on a 91 pickup?
I need to get rid of 2-3" of sag to even out the stance, if that makes any difference.
Thanks to anyone that knows the answer.

not sure if your bump stops are the same size as mine so its hard to say if the new runner coil springs will work. since yours is a truck, i cant say how much the spring will raise yours since its lighter in the rear.

I would say that my PU bump stops are identical in appearance to yours.
Just to be sure though, I'll check them against my buddy's 85 Runner and get back to you.
