Your take on double shackles aka revolver shackles

So, I've got a 92 Toyota pickup prerunner. I want some more travel out of my basically stock suspension while I gather all the money and parts to do it right with triangulated 4 link. I was thinking of making/ buying a double shackle and go ahead and buy coilovers for the rear. I'll just take the coils off and run them as shocks for the time being. And when I'm not cruising across the desert I'll have the top shackle locked against the frame with a pin. I've heard of the "unloading" but I don't crawl down steep hills or drive sideways across them either. So I'm not too worried about that

i wouldn't run them
they tend to unload when you go down hill, leading to a nose dive feeling when you hit the brakes

If you dont want to do deavers since you are going to link it, look in to the Chevy 63s for now. They are longer than the stock Toyota springs and will give more travel.

Personally, I wouldn't run those double shackles on anything.
