Red face

Just which one do you need 4Runners and Pick Ups can be different enough to cause major frustration

The years can be also just different enough.

Just what are you trying to do??

I am trying to repurpose the switch. This one has one yellow, one red, one white/green and one white wire. I am trying to figure out how it is wired to send current to the instrument cluster.

That's what a multimeter is for.

I'm almost certain that the switch contains an incandescent bulb. I would expect to find one pair of wires with low (but not zero) resistance for the bulb, and another pair that goes from open to short as you activate the switch.

But I could be wrong about the bulb. The switch could be SPDT, or DPST. Your multimeter will tell all.

I don't have the EWD that shows the connector to that switch, though.

I have tried it every combination but the right with a multimeter. I am just stuck. I can get it to turn the pwr (orange) light on in the instrument cluster thru the switch but not the green light. I want both to work.

It does. I think I have it figured out. I took the switch apart and I am going to have to modify it to make it work the way I want it to.
