wierd noise??

Yeah, its a wierd grinding type noise coming from the front right side of the car. It amplifies when i turn, but only persists for less than a minute or so, and only when im going slow. It also is there when i idle / rev, but is not the engine, because the engine sounds fine.

You guys probably know exactly what it is, but its confusing the hell outta me.

Im pretty sure you are in the same boat as me.I have bad spindle bushing and you just described my exact problem.I can't find the bushings or the needle bearings online so im guess stealership is the only place to get them and im sure they will be 100 bucks alone from there. The new bearings have to be pressed into the back of the steering spindle.

Let me know what ever you do to fix them.

mudslut, did you ever grease your spindle assy. though?

What he describes doesn't sound like something that would come from a spindle or knuckle at all.
If it comes when he revs his engine, then its probably an engine or transmission problem...

ill post a vid of the noise... it's only when the truck is cold, and only is when the truck is uner 15 mph... if you let it idle long enough, it goes away by itself, but the sound isn't coming from the engine, or the transmission.

Ill re-check again for something loose rattling around, but i don't know.
