Why does the middle camshaft support on the cylinder head gall out?
In my very limited toyota engine experience, why does it seem the middle camshaft support on the cylinder head will gall out? Does the support get hotter than the other two supports, or lack of lubrication?
Just curious. Thanks.

This is an easy one! It was overheated and the cam bore is no longer aligned. So being as it has 3 journals, the middle one loads sideways. Technically, the valve seats are also misaligned witht he valve guide also, even if it does seem to run OK. It was overheated at one time. If it gets overheated real bad, it wont even run.
