"whisteling" through a straw noise???

i have a faint whine/whistle coming from under my truck, im not sure what it is. It only does it when i am moving at a desent speed but does not stop when i press the clutch. It never changes tone or pitch. It is either so faint or such a pitch that my father cant here it. im thinking its either a ujoint or something in my clutch. anyone else ever heard a noise like this

thanks for the help.

Do you have a pin hole in your floorboard or firewall by chance? i could just be air passing into it, thats what it was on my truck

wouldnt an exhaust leak change pitch. if im running 60 and press in the clutch, let the motor idle or rev it, it doesn't change. i did think about the wind blowing across something but it realy sounds more mechanical than that. i'll give my exhaust a check out.

i had somone drive while i rode in the bed, and it realy sounds like its coming from mid way of the truck. but by the time you go fast enought to make the noise, the wind was beating my ears to death so it's hard to tell

Don't know if the noise is right but my 86 4Runner did something like this. It was the speedometer cable whistling in the wind as I sped up.
