what size tires fit on 2nd gen 2wd

need some new tires and have a 95 with a 3.0 2wd(i know, didnt know i would end up in colorado) I have found some 31 X10.5 not sure if they are good or not. The stock tires are just about bald...btw truck did pretty good in all the snow this year, the rwd felt better than our fwd car. truck is wifes (since i commute) needs to have smooth ride also doesnt go too far off road just jeep roads etc to go mtn biking.

you'd be fine with 31x10.5. I don't think their was any difference in ride height between 2 and 4wd 4runners and i could fit 33x10.5 with no change and 33x12.5 with minimal lift

yea, I'd go with 31x10.50s, they'll fit on stock wheels without any issue most likely

that's beyond pushing it. Most tire shops won't do more than 2 inches wider than the wheel. I know a guy that put my 10.50s on my 6" wide wheels. A 4" differential is about as far as you want to go.

Would this be on the 5spd or the auto?

A good point, if you do go to 31's you would probably want to regear especially if it's an Auto tranny. A 5spd you may get by on....

However, it being 2wd, you'll only have 1 diff to regear so it wouldn't cost more than a couple hundred bucks to do.
