What shocks for IFS lift... gas?

I lifted my 89 toyota 4x4 extended cab with a 4 inch suspension lift. It rides pretty rough and a was curious if i slapped in some gas shocks if it would ride a bit softer. I have a cheap set of rough country shocks now. Any suggestions? Also, how would 4 inch rear leafs ride?
Thanks

It really depends on how tough your current shocks are. If they are really hard to compress and decompress then getting a softer set will help, but if they're already not too stiff then getting softer ones won't do anything.

Are your tbars cranked at all?

With a bracket lift the ride should be just about the same as stock. The truck will ride a little better with lift springs in the back but it depends on the spring you get if it will be softer. I bet your tbars are cranked up.
