what is this plug and where does it go
Found this plug dangling while I was swapping out my transmission the other day. 1987 4runner SR5 , runs fine but Im sure that its supposed to be plugged in somewhere. Its hanging under the intake on the passenger side. I looked around but couldn't find any other open plugs.

My guess is cold start fuel injector. Will only affect starting in colder weather although I would plug it back in.

Can you take a picture of where it goes? Truck has fired right up when the temp was in the teens

that is not the factory connector for the csi. i suspect that it is the connector for the FpU vsv located on top of the valve cover to the rear. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.yot...a8650ff5e0.jpg |

I think is for the idle air control valve, it is just below the intake manifold.

The one on post #12 is the one you're looking for in your '87.

If you find it doesn't go here to the IACV then it's an unused connector for an auto trans or something else. I can't remember what it was for. I've had two other 4Runners that had the same unused light blue connector dangling.
