What is this funny looking rear suspension linkage?
What is this funny looking rear suspension linkage? I have searched hi and lo, I have not found a description of this thing anywhere?

that is for the load sensing proportioning valve. the rod goes up to the lspv. when your suspension is compressed the rod goes up relative to the frame and the proportioning valve allows for more braking in the rear. the lspv adjusts the braking force on the rear so you have enough braking when carrying a load but also the back tires will not skid if you are not carrying a load. the linkage shown in your pic is there because the rod is mounted at an angle relative to the frame and rear axle. when the suspension compresses the angle is less and the rod needs somewhere to go. that linkage allows it to hinge so it does not have to flex. there are actually some bushings and stuff in there, mine became worn and I had to replace them.
