What does your aftermarket oil pressure read @ idle
Just installed a autometer mechanical oil pressure gauge and at idle reads 20lbs does this sound right ? What does yours read ? I have a 3vze v6.

Mine will fluctuate around 14PSI at idle with engine at full operating temperature. 1997 4runner 3.4L V6 SR5, 212,000+ kms.

That sounds good.
But it's dependent on oil temperature and viscosity as well.

I have an electrical VDO oil pressure gauge that's now about 21 years old and still reads 20 psi at idle.

I am 18psi after 10-15 mins driving, 14-15 psi after 45 mins.......

Cold idle around 30-40psi -- If I drive it cold the psi will hit 80+. Warm idle at 20psi and warm driving at 60. Running a mechanical sunpro gauge.

Cold driving 95-100psi
Warm idle 25psi

Not sure if it holds water with Yotas, but on my domestic stuff, 10 psi for every 1000 rpms is good, so yours sound just fine!

A high performance engines class I took at wyotech years ago 10 psi per 1000 is what was taught doesnt matter foreign or domestic as far as I know
