Water bypass?

I have read every single thread that I thought was related to my issue, but none of them apply. My husband and I blew a head gasket so we have our ‘86 4Runner ripped apart right now. Since it’s ripped apart, we figured we would replace all the coolant hoses. There’s a hose that runs from right behind the thermostat housing to the throttle body. See attached. I have literally scoured the internet and every Yota manual we have. Anyone know what this part is called and where we can get one? As you can see, it’s hammered. The first picture was taken from the back/left of the thermostat with head pictured under the white plastic covering. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.yot...3140f5bf4.jpeg

I'd cut that hammered nipple off flush, find a short piece of suitably sized steel tube from my scrap pile, drill a countersink into the main piece and silver solder a new nipple to it.

Maybe someone can point you to the detailed factory parts diagram. I tried a couple sites with no luck, but I know it's out there.

We have been researching this quite a bit and it looks like some of the newer models have a straight valve. We are checking the junkyard at this point.

Discontinued, just like the formed hose from what I remember.

Like you already have deduced and was recommended, it'll will have to be re-enginered.

I'll have an attempt at finding the original part number on my next break anyway..
