"Vintage Air" Air Conditioning Question

Hey guys,
I'm working on trying to get A/C in my 1994 regular cab. Originally I wanted to piece together an OEM system. I found I can get most of the parts I'd need EXCEPT I cant for the life of me find an AC Amplifier (the computer). It seems I can get new evap, condensor, compressor, hoses, vacuum switch, etc from ebay and wiring seems to be in place in the truck already. But I don't want to get stuck with 400$ worth of new parts and then not be able to find this amplifier.

So I've also found this system on ebay - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Air-...-/400278808885

Anyone have any experience with these Vintage Air products? It seems like a little hermetically sealed compressor integrated with blower. I'm sure that it might be a pain to install compared to OEM, but it might be worth it just to have everything?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Unless...asking and answering myself here, is this whats referred to as the AC Amp?

I have Vintage Air units in my 32 Ford 3W coupe street rod and my 1950 Mercury coupe custom. The units are high quality, really work well and never have any problems. They are the best aftermarket units available. I have orioginal factory air in my 1983 Toyota truck but if I was going to put an A/C unit in it would be a Vintage Air system. Almost all of the street rods I have seen over the years run Vintage Air systems.

Hmm. How hard do you think the installation would be for a regular cab?
I've priced combination of used and new (where appropriate) oem parts to be around 500$. It looks like the Vintage Air mini setup will run around $1200 with the compressor, hoses and hardware, sound about right?
