used truck 216K maintenance?

Hey guys I need a little advice yet again.

I bought a used 92 toyota pickup a couple months back and have put about 1500miles on it since I got it. I do not have any service records for the truck so I am going from scratch.

I am in the middle of a SAS and some other modifications on the truck and i wanted to give the motor/trans/transfer case a little TLC while I was at it.

To date I have:
New brakes pads/rotors
Flush brake system with new fluid
Flushed cooling system
New tires
Replaced Idler Pulley

I have pulled the timing belt cover to see what condition the belt was in, it looked like it was still in decent shape but was definitely not replaced 15K miles ago.

My plan was to do something like this:
1) Have tranny flushed
2) New timing belt and water pump
3) Replace all other belts

Anything else I should be doing to a motor with 216K miles on it as far as servicing? It is not burning any oil but has a small leak from somewhere that i need to investigate a little further.

Truck specs:
1992 Toyota Pickup X-Cab
3.0L Motor
Manual 5sp Trans
4x4 w/ Auto lock hubs

Grease drive shafts/U joints
Change diff/T case fluid
check valves see if they need to be adjusted.
That small oil leak could be your valve cover gaskets, known for going on these motors.

I wouldn't worry about an oil leak. On a motor of that age, I'd be surprised if it didn't leak.

On a 20 year old truck, its anybody's guess as to what needs to be done. If the PO didn't skimp, then its probably in decent shape, however, not many POs are going to do that much maintenance on a 20 year old truck...

I'd replace all the fluids, budget for new shocks, brakes and watch the timing belt or chain (if you were to have bought a 22RE).

Sounds like you've got a good list. I know you stated you've flushed the cooling, but make sure your cooling system is 100%. The 3.0 can be sensitive to overheating. Which reminds me to test my rad cap soon...

Grease driveshafts will be on tomorrow list of projects

T/Case- I was going to hold off on and change all the fluid when i build my dual case in a couple weeks.

I will check into the value cover gaskets but I think the oil may be leaking from the rear main seal or something around there. Another thing to add to tomorrows list
