Will a 88 4runner turbo cluster (digital) plug right up in a base model 22re 88pu

Unfortunately not. The entire wiring harness for the turbo 4runners is different. There are 4 plugs on the back side of it instead of the 3 that are on your truck. They also require different fuel and oil sending units as they work opposite to the others. I only know because I have a turbo 4runner and have had many other regular trucks...
That being said, anything is possible with a little ingenuity!
