tru trac for 7.5 IFS

where would I find the best deal on a tru trac for the front of my '86 4runner with the 7.5. I need a new front carrier since where the stub shaft goes in it it has worn out and figurered I might as well upgrade it. Thanks

Performance Off Road Center (PORC)

Personally, I would save up for an ARB ... in my experience TruTrac's are just frustrating offroad (and that's on a flexy SAS rig, not an IFS that's gonna have wheels in the air all the time)

Shop used. Tons of peeps selling when they SAS their rigs.

I got a complete unit incl 4.88s and tru trac for $100 last year off craigs list. I went thru it, new seals and such. Seems to work just fine.

I'mgonnahijackyourthread.

Would welding the front diff work?
here is my thinking: I have manual hubs, so I can wheel with one open and one locked. If I get stuck or need the extra traction I can lock them both.

Anyone else do this?

It won't steer worth a damn.
