tried to start in gear, now it won't start!
So I just made a dumb mistake (and sorry for the choppy title!).
I was in a hurry and hopped into my truck to go somewhere, I normally never use the "clutch start" button on the dash that lets you start w/o hitting the clutch pedal but for some reason I did (I still don't know why). Well, I know how the button works, the only thing is you have to be in neutral:oops:. Well, I bumped the shifter from 1st to 4th instead of neutral and didn't realize it until I turned the key. The starter tried to turn over the whole engine in 4th gear! Now I can shift into any gear I want but I think what is happening is the starter gears aren't disengaging from the flywheel. How do I remedy this? All I can think to do is put it in gear and push start it with my car. Any ideas? I have to think there's a simple answer I'm not thinking of. |
Try unplugging the clutch cancel button, sometimes they can get stuck or whatever and cause your truck not to start.
