TPS got me stumped.

alright so i'm gettin the CEL 41 for bad tps. well i checked it via olhm meter and it is within specs. seems that voltage isn't getting to the ecu. i think the wiring is fine. is it possible for the TPS to read the correct resistance but not send voltage?

and when i jumper TE1 and E1, there is no change in idle what so ever.... ?

Seems like that is the issue to me. try adjusting your TPS first. Also, try taking it off and seeing if it is sticky. Being stick is a common problem.

Maybe try taking the readings from the wires after the plug so you can rule out an issue with the plug... and maybe do the same at the ECU connection to make sure the signals are getting there as well.

got a quick question. Don't want to start a new thread.

According to 4crawlers instructions to test the tps, I read online that only one of those tests/terminals matters. The rest are just to see if the TPS is within specs. Does anyone know which terminals i'm talking about? I can't find the source anymore.
