Toyota pickup 1986, Oxygen sensor, what is its original location?

Hello friends, recently I bought a toyota pickup 1986, currently it has a 22RE engine, but originally I had a 22RTE engine, I deduce it because on the board it has a turbo indicator LED. Well, the problem is that the pickup does not have the oxygen sensor anywhere.
I have seen some truks that have it in the gas outlet manifold, near the engine, and I have seen others that have it in the gas exhaust pipe, just below the cockpit. This truck has no hole in the exhaust manifold, but it does not have any holes in the exhaust pipe either. It no longer has its original tube so I do not know where the oxygen sensor originally was.

When the oxygen sensor is in the exhaust manifold, the electrical connector is near the brake fluid reservoir, but this pickup does not have an electrical connector there, so I guess it was not originally in the exhaust manifold. but I really do not know.

There is only one wire cut close to the cold start injector.

I'm deciding where to put it, but I would like to place it in its original place,
I appreciate your help if someone knows this pickup model where it originally has its oxygen sensor.

Think that shielded wire you show should go to the knock sensor on the passenger side of the engine block.

Red face

I just looked mine it is in the intake manifold .

Rather then drilling a hole then tapping the two holes for the studs

Find a exhaust manifold with the hole for the sensor

No reason you can`t weld a bung lower down on the exhaust pipe

It will just take the sensor a minute or two longer to heat up

Looks like the Ox sensor wire to me (note both are shielded), but no reason to guess get out the multimeter and find out.

With a meter set to diode, continuity, or resistance. Clip one lead to the clipped wire, rake the other across the ECU plug until you get a tone, needle deflection, or ohm reading.

If you have something plugged into the knock sensor and it has a similar plug to what's ontop of the thermostat housing, round with ribs, that cut wire is the o2..

I just plugged these both in a few hours ago on my RTE.

The one wire O2 sensor wire on my '87 Runner is not shielded and it comes from the drivers fenderwell to the O2 sensor that is in the exhaust manifold.

The '88 Runner I had used a multi-wire O2 sensor in the exhaust downcomer before the cat.

It's wires emanated from a hole in the floorboard of the cab, if I correctly recall.
