Toolbox CB Mount..

Anyone know where I can get a mount for my CB Antenna (4' Firestik) to mount to a toolbox? I took my rollbar out cause it got in the way and I need a toolbox more than that.. So I'm putting my toolbox back in but neet a mount for my CB antenna cause my antenna is rail mounted..

Radio Shack has them, or check at your local truck stop they should have everything you need.

i have always used the clamp on mounts they use on semi trucks and loose the backing plate and just drill four holes in the box, always worked well.

I have mine mounted on a piece of 2in square tubing that i bolted to the toolbox. I bought one of those rail mount L brackets and bolted to the square tubing. I use the square tubing because you want the antenna to be atleast an inch and a half from any metal.

the clamp on with the four bolts drilled on a vertical surface is probably the most stout solution you'll find. the mounting stud, where you just drill an appropriately sized hole and through-bolt it on are good only with thicker metals since the antenna will whip around while you drive.

Just a note, I read in the FSM that you should keep componants for a CB radio as far away from the ECM as possible..

Thanks Jay, but thanks for (RUBBING IT IN MY FACE!) that I don't have EFI.. I wish I had EFI, but then again I've never had any carb problems..
