Tool box size??

I have been looking for a used aluminum tool box for my 94 extra cab. Does anyone know the dimensions that I would need? I have come across a few but not sure if they will fit. I am not around my truck at the moment, so if anyone can help me out that would be great!

Around 57 inches sounds right. Any from a mid size truck will fit. Picked mine up from a metal recycling place.

Looking for a low profile aluminum. Wish I kept the one off my regular cab before I sold it!!

If they don't have any measurements, I'm pretty confident that any that would fit a Tacoma would fit these.

I know they carry these at Lowes - Kobalt brand. Friend of mine said they are lifetime warranty like all the other Kobalt stuff, so if someone breaks into the lock, they'll replace it. Dunno about the contents if stolen after broken into :(

Kobalt is a good brand.. Quality is reaching into Craftsman territory for a little better price. A friend of mine has a Kobalt low profile box on his Frontier and it looks/fits great.

I thought lowes only carried full size tool boxes. I would rather find one on craigslist if I could! But I might have to bite the bullet and buy a new one.

Keep an eye on Craigslist. I picked up a UWS toolbox for $50. I also bought a new UWS for my colorado and it was about $400

Trust me I have been. I have came across a few but have been holding out on a black one under 100. I know one will pop up sooner or later!

Beggars can't be choosers lol. If you want black paint it

I have a black toolbox it fits in side the bed but it sticks up about 4 inches above the sides, so not exactly a stealthy box. Shipping would be an arm and a leg though. Currently have it mounted to my trailer.

Any pics? I am located in Virginia (23434)

I'm in Iowa. I don't know that I actually want to sell it just letting you know. I paid a wopping $50 for it and it fits perfect on my 74 LUV autocross trailer. I can get pics of it in the morning when it's light out. It would probably cost more than a new one would shipping wise. I recommend scouring CL and ebay for boxes close to you. I lucked out cuz I check both everyday for random stuff. Found some awesome deals just waiting and lurking on stuff.

If you have a plastic bedliner, a standard 20" wide toolbox may be an issue. I had to trim the corners off mine. I'm planning on taking to a friend who has an aluminum welder to put a patch on the part I cut out. I got too good of a deal not to use it!

Fits pretty snug now:
