Pictures like these always make me think of the precarious positions you have to put yourself in to get such good pictures from the back seat and whatnot ;-)

It's called "Toyoga"!..:nerd:

amgraham,
I'd thought of doing that many times, but I always wind up needing the space for cargo. I use my runner more for cargo than passengers. On that note, I've been forced to use an alternative. I yanked the rear passenger bench seat and folded down the seat backrest, but let me back up a bit.....

Months ago I was hauling hay home stacked on the basket I have hooked into my receiver hitch most of the time. It has these coated wire side panels that fold up or down for whatnot...in my case, usually garbage I haul to town to the Chuck E. Cheese dumster or various bags of animal feed to haul home. Anyhow, I had the sides folded down and the basket stacked and strapped with several bales of straw. Coming down my dirt road, the bumper fell right off from the stress to the rusty, rusty metal on the frame where the bumper mounting brackets "used to" reside. Soooo...the welder ripped out my undercarriage tire mount to install some extra bumper support to the rear cross member. Now, I have my spare in the space between the back of the driver's seat and the folded down bench backrest....and on the floor board. Using nmtoy's work of art for a tire mount idea, I'm thinking of installing one behind the driver's seat. Now I just need a welder and to learn how to use it! You see, all these pics of you guys's with their tops off has me sick with envy to do the same. But, I will have to wait awhile, get my ducks in a row, and come up with ways to secure my valuables....like a small truck box behind the pass. seat or something. Hmmm.....I don't know, but now I'm jones'n for a bikini and must figure out how to make it all work.

Sorry if I bored you all with that, but all of these ideas posted are wonderful and I'm inspired. What versitile rigs these 1st gen's are! Maybe I too can get some pics up in a year or so after I've actually been able to do anything..lol! :hillbill:

I gotta reject that statement.

At work we had a guy come in to get 4 new tires. a few minutes after i walked back inside from checking the guy's tire size, 2 guys pull up in a saturn, go in his car and steal his laptop that was sitting right there on the front seat. the guy left his window half way down.

They tried to blame us. we checked the security cameras and sure enough, clear as day them taking it. this was right around 1:30 PM, in our parking lot with many other people shopping. the cars alarm was on too, so im sure that thing was blaring. nobody cares anymore about car alarms

and on a funny note, when my manager asked me if i think anybody in the shop stole it i replied "it's a macintosh laptop. who would want that piece of crap anyway?"
