Timing chain change now slight idle rattle
Well I just put my 22Re back together after putting a ENGBLDR chain set and steel guides. I did the change without removing the head. This worked very well. Although now have a rattle at idle that I think its spark knock in one of the cylinders. It was not there before. It sort of comes and goes at idle and gets quieter as it is reved. I have adjusted the timing and everything went together well. Any ideas? It dives good with lots of power just a rattle at idle.
I am going to run some fuel cleaner through it but I am worried that my head gasket may be going.............??????? I also found a good way to remove the crank bolt. Use 2 old belts and wedge a bar into the front A arm and clamp it to the tow hook on the front. Then clamp the belts as tight as you can towards the pullies. Use a breaker bar and presto! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...9/S3000001.jpg |
