Timing belt replacement..I screwed up..Help!!

I had to replace my knock sensor on my '91 3.0. I figured while I was at it I would replace my leaky valve covers. The further I got things torn down (plenum and intake manifold off) I figured while I'm here I might as well replace the timing belt and water pump. Anyhow...I got to the point where I need to pull the crankshaft pulley. Don't have a impact gun so was doing the brute force method. After several tries with no luck I noticed that passenger cam is no longer lined up with the match mark. I didn't have the lower cover off yet so the belt was still in place but with minimal tension due to the #2 tensioner being out.

My questions are:

Can I turn the crank over back to TDC without damaging anything?

If not how do I get the passenger side cam back to where it's supposed to be?

Just make sure and rotate everything clockwise.

There are timing marks at the top off each cam pulley, and cranshaft pulley. Usually a notch in the pulley, and marks are basically 12 O'clock on backing plate.

Once you get the belt back on and everything lined up, just be sure to rotate the engine clockwise a few times to check all timing marks are good. You can be a tooth off and not have it show up right away.

Use the starter trick to break the crank pulley bolt free. If you don't know it, search. If you can't find it, ask how for more help. :great:
