Time to change my fluids!! help

alright so i have been looking to find out what to put in my diffs, tcase, and tranny. i dont know what gl-4 or gl-5 and all that stuff means so im hoping someone has some easier answers for me. i have a 1992 4x4 3.0. 210,xxx miles. i know how to do the work im just unsure of the weight or grade fluids to put in my truck. if someone could tell me the recommended stuff that would be awesome.. or if there is a thread that says all this that i have not found please direct me there.. weather has been getting bad here. like 0 degrees fahrenheit would like to change everything before the real winter season settles in.

One hint: ALWAYS remove the filler plug first, then the drain plug. If, for some reason, the filler plug doesn't want to come out, you'll prefer to deal with that problem while you still have a full differential/transfer case/transmission ....

If you can't be bothered to learn a little something, take it to your neighborhood lube shak.

Money has always been a substitute for due diligence.

Just do some reading. Take like an hour at most. Your looking for something that's yellow metal safe for the gl4vs gl5 difference. That was a big difference back in the day most but not all are yellow metal safe now. Do a bit of reading or pay someone that has. It's easier than you think. Also after you know then you can help someone else.
