Throwout bearing/carrier
I just replaced a rear main seal on an 89 22re pick up.
I did that by pulling back the transmission and put in a new clutch as well.
I had the carrier on the fork and after I mated the tranny to engine, my fork was limp.
Does anyone know how I can put it back on without ppulling the tranny back AGAIN?

pull the boot off of the arm that goes into the bell housing, and see if the spring arrangement that clips the arm to the ball end is holding.
i think that toyota uses a couple of different throwout bearing arrangements, so ymmv, but i'd try to fish that spring clip back around the ball, if it's even possible.

I just took a look and the throwout bearing ended up IN FRONT of the fork instead of where it should be within it and I can't for the life of me get the fork to move. Just going to pull the tranny again I guess. Thanks
