Throttle position sensor problems

My truck has been stalling at stops or it just shakes really bad. I decided to check if there were any codes and it came back with a code 41. the wiring for the TPS and all looked well and the TPS looked clean I recently started adjusting it but when I did tests 2,3 they both came back as open loop. I may already know the answer but i just wanted to ask and see if anyone else had the same problem, Am I going to have to get a new TPS? (all the other reading were within spec)

Quasi-dealing with this now (possibly). I believe the logic going from step 2 to 3 is to verify the throttle plate going from closed point to open. I had the same readings on the 3vze and just adjusted the stop screw a bit and got it in range, but it was so sensitive, I'm sure it is back to the same. Probably not much insight, but I saw the same thing and the truck, while it is having its own problems, isn't doing what yours is doing.

try unplugging the tps and see if your situation gets any better.

Also, if you had the tps unplugged while the battery was in, the code may have generated and retained in the ECU. Try disconnecting the battery fo4 a minute and reconnecting and run the diag again.

Good luck!
