Throttle body coolant bypass question

I have my throttle body off for cleaning and I am wondering if the two coolant bypass pipes run together. I realize that this might be a stupid question as it looks like they should but I tried to blow through them and they allow no air flow through them. Thanks all for the help.

it should be the idle air control valve. the valve opens and closes with the temp. of the coolant.

I have the older throttle body that doesn't have the attached IACV so I think it's a different set up but I have been known to be wrong.

is it a 22re? if so I believe it is the iac. 1986-95 had the valve on the bottom of the throttle body. one fitting pointed down and the other to the side.

if you do the bypass, you will have high idle. the iacv is open when cold allowing more air in. once warmed up it closes. now i have opened my iacv and screwed it all the way in to where its always closed. i did this only because mine wasnt working properly so i have no high idle at cold start up which isnt an issue for me so far. than again its parked inside. sometimes on cold start it takes a little longer but still fires up. i also unplugged the cold start injector as well. btw this was on a 3.0 v6 but should be similar
