To those of yall who've done a bob job...
What'd yall use to cut the body? I was thinkin sawzall or angle grinder with a serrated diamond blade. Gonna be doin a 4' or so bob job on my runner soon as one of my friends get back to me whether I can borrow his sawzall or not...
Also, any tips in general yall got to share would be cool! Just lookin for stuff to pass the time till I do my bob job

Pretty steady...
Thing that's really got me though, is how I remount the body panels... Weld it is the obvious answer, but the real question is to WHAT... Need some people's thoughts who've bobbed a runner, cause I imagine bobbin a p/u is a tad bit easier...

Sawzall is an accident waiting to happen on a bob job unless you are careful as sheet metal is flimsy and so is a sawzall. Exercise caution and read the included link.
If you are going to hack up your vehicle at least use
and do some more research and find some answers from people who have done a bob.

on my buddies bronco we dused his donor truck to practice before we cut his top.
a cutoff tool will give you cleaner cuts but will take forever and if you dont hae a good blade you will go through a million of them.
you can just weld the body on as is once you get it liined up. personaly i would get some backing material to help stengthen it. always make it stronger than stock

Well, might start tonight. Gonna go pull out my old boss's 1ton K5 outta the mud again, then drink some beer, then it'll probably happen whether I plan for it to or not... Lmao.
