Yeah, probably the only regret I have is not going to a double cardan drivesahft and pointing the pinion at the tcase. Right now, the driveshaft is below the links and kinda unprotected.

Well, it does do nicely for ground clearance, but on mine, I have to fill up the last of the oil from the vent hole. If you ever do this, weld the fill hole shut, and put in a larger, inspection plug up higher, so you can fill. Wish I'd done that to mine.

Great build up, I read the whole thing because I am looking to do something similar but I didn't see any info on whether you guys have to relocate the gas tank or not? because right now I think thats my biggest issue... trying to figure out a real clean way to move it

TC has not had a stock tank for years ever since his stock one fell off. He's using a fuel cell mounted in the back end, fills through the back window.

So you had to cut all that link mess off of your stock axel housing and reweld it to the TG one?

Not really a mess.

Just got 4 new brackets, and lined everything up. Then welded the new brackets and truss on. As for the coil buckets and shock mounts, everything is easy with a plasma cutter.

Pretty much bolt in at that point.

"mess" was not the best use of my vocabulary, wasn't trying to step on any toes.

It just gives me nightmares to think about doing all those calculations and taking all those measurements and doing all that work just to have to do it all over again a year later. But I see your point that he wasnt starting from scratch the 2nd time around.

Oh Hey! I forgot about any further updates! We finally got everything buttoned up I think last April? At any rate we didn't wheel much because Troy was between Jobs. We have since then Moved to Houston (Troy has a great Job here). But there is no wheeling close (Closest is 5 hours away!) While I think we still will get to wheel some, it will be nothing like we did in Colorado.

The 4 link is still doing great. But all of that engineering we did is lost on a Truck in Houston. We might end up selling his rig at some point. We'll see... (We'll prolly sell one of our 2 rigs and at least keep one).

i'm sure there is some good wheeling somewhere.

heck NOONE seems to go wheeling in oklahoma, or so i thought.

then i got too lookin and found Disney (found that fast..lol) and Camp Gruber ORV park (however i can only find 4wheeler trails..??) and then theres also Little Sahara...but that's not my cup of tea

plus tons of small spots on private land around the area.

best thing to do is be on the lookout for other wheelers, even if they're high school kids...meet some, wheel, meet better people, wheel some more.
