T100 Automatic Tach swap?

So I've got a 92 pickup with the 3.slow and an automatic behind it. When I got the truck it had the base speedo/temp/fuel cluster in it, and the speedo was non functioning. Naturally I upgraded to the SR5 cluster because we all need to know how many volts were kicking out :D. That being said when I swapped out the original cluster for the SR5 cluster, I lost my PRNDL indicator as it resides right below the speedo on the stock cluster. Not that I really cared, I know how many clicks it takes to get through the gears. However, whilst browsing my local pick a part, I stumbled upon a T100 with a 3.slow in it and an SR5 cluster and low and behold it has the PRNDL indicator below the tachometer! What I'm wondering is, what are the odds with my truck being an automatic that it would be a swap and plug and play deal to get this tach to work in my truck and the PRNDL to function as well? My only main concerns are that when I pulled my original cluster, the indicator was manually activated by a little lever connected to the shifter on the column, whereas the one out of the T100 had a separate electrical ribbon that layed over the main ribbon to control the indicator lights. I tried googling around but couldn't really find anyone else with this kind of subject. Any help is much appreciated.
