t-case rear bearing

I found a vibration in my truck coming, i think, from the bearing on the rear output shaft. There is play in it and i can wiggle it around. I am still somewhat new to this toyota thing. So can anyone say how difficult it would be to change this bearing and the seal also? The truck is an 86 22r with a 5 speed. I do not know the difference yet betwen what tranny or t-case differences came in diffrent years. I have to get a manual to look still but was wondering if someone could say if i could pull just the yoke or if the back plate off the case without pulling it from the truck. Just a little insight into how much is involved in this. I do not believe the bearing, seal and oil will cost much at all. I know i shoul look around first but will go ahead and ask if someone could put up a link to what models had what different kinds of tranny and t-cases. Thanks ahead of time for any replys.

Hi..I think I have the same problem....the yoke shaft nut bearing is bad I'm also looking for answers on how to fix it or what to do...after driving home from work 24 miles I pulled in to my back yard and grabbed a water spray bottle and sprayed around that area including the u joint wich I replaced last week and the dam water just SIZZLED AWAY AS I WAS SPRAYING ON IT...but no other area of the tranny or rear shaft towards the rear chunk were even close to being that hot!....so keep me posted if u read anything about the replacement of that bearing...
thanks Dwayne
