Swapping Truck 60/40 seat for 4-Runner bucket seats?
Got a quick question concerning my 90' Toyota Pick-up. I wont more (and better) cupholders so i want to put in a Bucket seats with a center console and was wondering if a similar year 4-Runner Bucket seat will bolt right in to my 60/40 bench. I dont want to do a bunch of modification. Does anyone know? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated,

Everyone always blurts out "yes" on this question but, its more like "sorta"!
I have a '93 and made this swap, I had to do some bending and grinding to get the seat brackets to bolt in.
I also had to swap the mounting locations for the seatbelt bracket and seat bracket to bolt in the drivers seat.
....And I had to use a nut on the drivers front bracket due to the hole there did not have the nutsert that is usually there.
It works but it took me half a day to get them to fit right and I personally pulled these seats from a 4Runner with a blown engine so I also assumed they would bolt right in......they didn't!
By the way unless you have mega small hands that nut is hella hard to get in there!
I also noticed that the seats look like they lean towards each other if you look directly down the middle of my truck from the front or back.

OK, that's a lot more helpful. Another question i had was should i put two bucket seats in or just leave the passenger seat in. Leaving the passenger seat in sounds half ass'd but my buddy said with seat covers you would never tell the difference. I'm not sure if i agree.
Thanks,

As far as the lean, I didn't notice it until a few days after they were installed and I didn't want to pull them back out.
I plan on getting new carpet so I will use spacers to get them even then.
If yours do the same use washers or spacers before you tighten all the bolts.

Can't beat stock Toyota for quality I have not installed one yet but I do have several.
Most 4Runners came with rear heaters that were placed below the console so space is limited but they are easy to find, the pickups had what are referred to as "stacker" consoles that are usually expensive and hard to find but have lots of storage.
Quite frankly I like the look of my shifter boots so I am still undecided on what to do, I could modify one of my consoles or find a shorter one.
I have looked at several but the area between the seats is very tight.
