with stock leaf springs, do you get wheel hop?
when i bought my 4runner...it had lift blocks and new factory style leaf springs (not sure what brand) and i always blamed the wheel hop on the blocks. I did the zuk mod a month ago or so and got rid of the blocks and i still have got it. I havent really done any off roading latley but had to pull my friends ford focus out of a pond (yeah i know ) and i still got wheel hop bad when pulling in 4lo. Is that acceptable then? Like i said i havent done any serious off roading with the zuk mod yet but i used to get bad wheel hop just climbing up a hill in 1st or if i went over 15mph with 4wd it would start hopping like crazy, it doesnt now though.
I was thinking about going to 63" chevy springs to get rid of the wheel hop and to get a smoother ride. I used 175 pound springs so its still pretty stiff riding. I am debating getting softer coils or just getting the chevy spring kit since i would assume the chevy springs would be stronger and have less wheel hop since they are for trucks with much more powerful engines than ours.
