slip yoke axles
im talking about the downey slip yokes for ifs pickups, as i was saying earlier are they worth while versus the stock ones or birfields is what they call em.
im running the old rancho upper ifs a arms. Ive heard your supposed to run em but i beg to differ. looking to chrome them old ranchos soon with the downey double hoops so they look cool, not sure why rancho ever stopped making em. Probably not enough demand>

Im right there with you on this problem, Im wanting to go with a setup that involves shorter bumpstops and ball joint spacers, in order to gain more down travel. From what I understand the factory cv doesn't telescope plus the angle that is achieved with the rancho a-arms would be too great for the cv to handle. I guess the slip yoke is stronger and can handle the angle plus can telescope when the suspension is at full droop.
